COVID-19 test by Reverse Transcription - Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR)
Our aim is to make testing easier and less traumatic by non-invasive SELF-sampling. Anterior nasal swab samples are taken by the patient without the need for a nurse.
Anterior nasal swabs have been extensively validated on our platforms following protocols that have been given Emergency Use Access by the CDC (USA).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Open the sampling kit.
Apply hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol.
Remove the swab from the container, being careful not to touch the soft end with your end.
Insert the small ribbed end of the swab into your nostril. Do not insert it more than 2 centimetres into your nostril.
Slowly twist the swab, rubbing it along the insides of your nostril for 15 seconds.
Gently remove the swab.
Using the same swab, repeat steps 4-6 in your other nostril.
After sampling, place the ribbed end into the cryovial and snap off the end of the swab at the break line, so the ribbed end fits in the vial and the cap closes.
Re-apply hand sanitiser.
Place the cryovial containing the swab back into the packaging box, and place in the biohazard bag provided and seal the bag.
Throw away remaining sample kit items. Re-apply hand sanitiser.
Return sample to collection site.
